好久沒有寫網誌了(又陷入托福地獄了......),
只好順便順便練習寫作吧!
寫的不好就請多見諒吧。
Neither enchanted in brands nor being a fan of this TV series, I still go to see this movie. Just as my personal classic movie criterion “the more you expect, the more disappoints you have,” this one makes me feel quiet better than I expect (because I even don’t expect at all!). It seems to me that the stories about lovers, family and friends make me feel touched.
Although the title is “Sex and the City”, I don’t really think it matches the whole movie. Here the story doesn’t focus on the sexual relationship, instead, while the main characters step into their forties, they more care about their marriages (Samantha is an exempt). But on my mind, the reason of this transition maybe they need a big happy ending of the whole ten year series such as steady relationships. Despite of the reasons, this sort of change indeed takes the movie into another social discussion and let me feel the movie more worth to see.
When looking more inside, you will find those who already have a family like Miranda has another problem – family relationships. Since being a wife, a mother and a lawyer at the same time, she can’t find the balance among these characters. In addition, with her original personality, tough and a little selfish, she can’t stand anyone who wants to change her life style or contradict to her thought, just like her husband Steve. However, in the end of the story I think she have learned how to concession and forgive others. By the way, the scene on Brooklyn Bridge is also affecting.
Finally, after almost a decade these four women still are the best friends no matter what happened and where they are. In my view this friendship is one of the two main spirits in this movie. So what’s the other? Just like the end of the story Carrie said “love is the brand that never out of fashion”—it’s love.
